Neither candidate appears to have understood the anxiety out there about the economic situation. this seems to be the biggest problem coming out of the debate. The Prez appears very little in public to assuage the fears and his last speech only made matters worse. These debates these days are the closest to a "presidential address" with the kinds of viewership these debates seem to enjoy. Both candidates have missed the mark on soothing the public, restoring the trust they place in the banking sector and the economy.

so a markedly important result from the debate. albeit a negative one.
