The Democrats who voted against the war: Akaka (D-HI)Bingaman (D-NM)Boxer (D-CA)Byrd (D-WV)Chafee (R-RI)Conrad (D-ND)Corzine (D-NJ)Dayton (D-MN)Durbin (D-IL)Feingold (D-WI)Graham (D-FL)Inouye (D-HI)Jeffords (I-VT)Kennedy (D-MA)Leahy (D-VT)Levin (D-MI)Mikulski (D-MD)Murray (D-WA)Reed (D-RI)Sarbanes (D-MD)Stabenow (D-MI)Wellstone (D-MN)Wyden (D-OR)
The Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee who got to see the final intelligence on the Iraq War that most voting members of senate didn't get to see:
Bob Graham, Florida (Chairman), Carl Levin, Michigan,John D. Rockefeller IV, West Virginia, Dianne Feinstein, California, Ron Wyden, Oregon, Richard Durbin, Illinois, Evan Bayh, Indiana, John Edwards, North Carolina, Barbara A. Mikulski, Maryland
Firstly, John Edwards was on that committee. When he voted for the war he showed poorer judgment than other Democrats not on the committee. Secondly, if half that committee on the Democratic side voted against the resolution, should not the Democrats (including Hillary and Joe Biden) paused and taken a second look?
Barbara A. Mikulski is campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Dick Durbin will stump for Obama in Nebraska. Ron Wyden has not endorsed anyone, but his top aide Josh Kardon is the chairman of Clinton's Oregon steering committee. The Others on the SIC that voted against the war haven't thrown in their support.
The news out of the Ted Kennedy endorsement that Bill Clinton was pressing hard on Kennedy to hold his endorsement. If people are not endorsing Obama in droves, it may not be because they have not made up their minds yet.
