Democratic primary gift to the Republicans

When Howard Dean was asked (I paraphrase) "Why he should be credited with any leadership, when the RNC's Cash on Hand outstrips the DNC, especially in an election cycle when electorate leans democratic". His answer was that DNC has invested in infrastructure in all 50 states, that helped them win state legislatures in red states and even congressional seats in 2006. He then went on to mention Jim Webb's victory in Virginia and the one seat Dems picked up in Alaska.

Here is where Dems might lose some advantage they gained by investing in volunteers. Republicans won't need very many volunteers to do Opposition Research as Obama and Clinton have dug up a huge pile of dirt on each other and put it up on their website for ready use by republicans.

This would be the bludgeon with which the RNC and its 527 organizations are going to beat the democrats with.
